Reliability Analysis and Life Prediction of Aging LNG Unloading Arms Based on Non-Destructive Test Data

Unloading arms (ULAs) among seaport infrastructures are susceptible to deterioration posed by the effects of harsh marine environmental conditions. During infrastructure’s service life, structural integrity may increase risk failure infrastructure, and should be taken into account during reliability assessment. In this study, a simple non-destructive test (NDT) was employed examine ULAs which were installed over 30 years ago. Then, these aging modeled finite-element program, using data update thickness dimensions members. Next, assessment conducted based on stress distribution main components under external loads, calculated their relation wind speed. Moreover, time-dependent index curve also built considering function predict probability particular remaining lifetime. The study revealed that present condition ULA system satisfactory for current loading A predicted with deteriorations factors rational appropriate approach structures needed efficient infrastructure management.
